Dear Reader,
First, thank you for subscribing. The jump in number of susbscribers has been flattering. I want you to know I really appreciate you.
Second, I took some time to look at WHO was subscribing. Based on your emails and the traffic source, I believe most of you are from Pakistan.
Thinking about all the comments, messages for help with jobs, and general interest in remote work I’ve been getting from folks in Pakistan, I’ve decided to shift my focus for this newsletter,
I am still working out the format for the newsletter, but it will likely be a mix of topics including including:
tips around getting a remote job,
remote job postings I’ve curated
Sharings on how to successfully navigate the remote work environment
Making the leap from remote worker to working from anywhere and why that might be important
I’ll also be leveraging the podcast feature at least 1 time per week to interview people who’ve successfully landed remote jobs and are thriving in them, so you can hear the lessons of others in addition to myself.
Finally, A Better Remote Conversation IS NOT going away.
I still firmly believe in writing about how remote work advocates can drive a better, more meaningful, and more grounded conversation that helps get even the staunchest return to office advocates become part of the remote work conversation. Even if no one wants to read it, I plan to keep putting it out into the world if for now other reason than to develop my own thinking.
You can find my latest post at https://medium.com/@alex_9774/what-we-lost-to-remote-day-4-a-sense-of-boundaries-86a3e845513a.
Thanks, and look forward to tomorrow’s email, where I’ll be sharing some key tips for anyone looking for a remote job.
